Public guide to ARK Kitchen warranty periods, Service Requests, assessment, Handover records and eligible Warranty Transfer.
ARK Kitchen Warranty & Support Hub
This hub explains ARK Kitchen warranty periods, Service Requests, assessment, Handover records and eligible Warranty Transfer. The applicable Contract Documents, Kitchen Warranty and Schedules govern if a summary differs.
1. Warranty periods
Eligible cabinetry and ARK installation workmanship may receive an additional 10-year ARK warranty under Schedule A.
Eligible functional or mechanical hardware may receive an additional 5-year ARK warranty under Schedule B.
Eligible ARK-supplied and installed cabinet LED components may receive an additional 3-year ARK warranty under Schedule B.
Eligible benchtop material, fabrication, installation, hard-surface splashback and sink-related work may receive the coverage stated in Schedule C.
Coverage depends on the affected component, project Scope, cause, exclusions, evidence and applicable New Zealand law.
2. Warranty commencement
The applicable ARK warranty period begins from the recorded Handover Date unless the governing document states otherwise.
Adjustment, repair, replacement, ownership change or Warranty Transfer does not restart the original warranty period unless ARK expressly confirms otherwise in writing.
3. Service Requests
A Service Request should identify the ARKCode, affected component, location, issue, date first noticed and available photographs or other evidence.
ARK may begin with remote review and may arrange a site assessment where reasonably required.
Urgent safety, active water or electrical concerns should be reported promptly and managed to prevent further damage.
4. Assessment
ARK may consider the accepted Scope, drawings, materials, manufacturer information, installation records, Handover evidence, maintenance, environmental conditions and the Workmanship Standard.
An internal classification or Project Record status does not remove any available legal right.
5. Remedies and closure
Where ARK accepts responsibility, the available remedy is determined under the applicable Contract Documents, warranty terms and New Zealand law.
A completed remedy or assessment may be recorded in an Issue Closure Record.
An issue may be reconsidered where there is recurrence, failed remedy, material change or new relevant evidence.
6. Warranty Transfer
Eligible standard Warranty Transfer is free.
Transfer updates authorised holder or owner details and preserves the same ARK record, ARKCode, remaining warranty period and transfer history.
Transfer does not restart coverage or create coverage that did not apply to the original project.
7. ARKCode and myARK
An ARKCode identifies an independent ARK record, not a person, account, address or property.
myARK is the private authorised-access layer through which project, warranty, service and transfer records may be made available.
8. Governing documents
Read the Kitchen Warranty together with Schedule A, Schedule B, Schedule C, Schedule D, the applicable Contract Documents and relevant Care Guides.
9. Statutory rights
ARK's written warranty operates in addition to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.
10. Contact
