SITE DISCIPLINE
ARK Kitchen Site Discipline Standard
ARK Kitchen Site Discipline defines how cabinetry installation and kitchen renovation work is managed inside a client’s home in Auckland, including site access, property protection, work zones, privacy, dust and waste control, and the condition in which the site is left when work stops or workers leave.
01 | Site Access, Privacy & Household Respect
ARK manages site access with the understanding that kitchen installation and renovation work is taking place inside a private home. Planned attendance, agreed work areas, household privacy and safe access around children and pets are treated as part of site control.
Arrival & Schedule Communication
ARK coordinates planned site attendance through the project schedule. If attendance or timing changes, the Site Manager manages the update and any required adjustment to the work sequence.
Clean Entry & Access
Workers use the agreed entry and access routes and avoid unnecessary movement through non-work areas. Dirt, tools and materials should not be carried through the home without reasonable control.
Privacy & Permission
Access to the property does not mean unrestricted access to the home. Workers remain within assigned work areas and do not enter private rooms, other floors or unrelated areas without permission.
Children & Pets
Children and pets must remain outside active work areas. Where pets are present, ARK records the site requirement and the client is responsible for keeping them in a suitable safe area while scheduled work is underway.

02 | Site Protection & Work Area Setup
Before kitchen installation or renovation work begins, ARK prepares the active work area and access route to reduce avoidable damage, contamination and interference with the rest of the home. Protection requirements depend on the actual site, work scope and materials being moved through the property.
Floor & Access Protection
ARK protects relevant floors, corners and access routes where delivery, demolition, tools or materials may create a reasonable risk of damage. The protection method is selected for the actual surface and work being carried out.
Work, Tool & Material Zones
Active work areas, tool locations and material storage areas are kept reasonably organised so that workers, clients and other trades can identify where project activity is taking place and where access should remain clear.
Dust & Cutting Control
Cutting and dust-generating work is controlled according to the material, task and site conditions. Outdoor cutting is used where practical, while indoor work requires suitable dust control and containment. Silica-generating stone work is not treated as ordinary household dust and requires appropriate cutting or extraction controls.
Waste & Debris
Project waste and debris are contained during the work. ARK or the assigned trade removes construction waste or uses an agreed disposal method, including a client bin only where permission has been given.

03 | Kitchen Installation & Renovation Site Conduct
ARK site conduct rules apply while cabinetry installation or kitchen renovation work is underway inside the client’s home. They cover noise, site-condition checks, smoking and waste, and how workers behave around the property and household.
Noise & Working Hours
Noise is limited to what is reasonably required for the work being carried out. Noisy work is kept within the agreed project schedule and managed with consideration for the household and surrounding properties.
Check Before Work Starts
Before starting an assigned task, the worker checks the relevant site conditions against the confirmed scope, drawings and available project information. If an unexpected condition affects safety, the approved work, another trade or the project sequence, the affected work is stopped or controlled and referred to the ARK Site Manager. Any change to price or commercial scope is handled by the ARK Office. Where a site issue requires review, follow-up or a change to the project sequence, the relevant status may be reflected in My Progress.
Smoking, Vaping & Waste
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the client’s home. Work waste, packaging and debris are kept under reasonable control during the job rather than being allowed to accumulate through occupied areas.
Conduct & Client Property
Workers are expected to communicate respectfully, remain within the areas required for their assigned work and avoid using, moving or interfering with client property unless permission or the work itself requires it.

04 | Site Close-Out & End-of-Day Standard
Whenever an ARK worksite is left unattended, whether temporarily or at the end of the day, the work area should be left controlled, reasonably safe and organised. Tools, materials, waste and access points are checked before workers leave the property.
Safety & Access Check
Loose screws, sharp offcuts, trip hazards and other avoidable risks are removed or secured. Walkways and agreed access routes are left reasonably clear, with exposed or unfinished areas protected where required.
Tools & Materials Secured
Tools and project materials are kept within designated areas and secured appropriately before the site is left unattended. Sharp tools and hazardous items must not be left exposed or accessible to children or pets.
Waste & Site Condition
Construction waste and debris are contained and removed or placed in the agreed disposal location. A client’s household bin is used only with permission. The work area receives an appropriate basic clean so the site is left controlled until work resumes.

05 | Kitchen Final Inspection & Handover
Before Handover, ARK completes a final inspection of the installed kitchen against the confirmed project scope. The review covers key visible, functional and completion items before relevant Handover records are prepared and connected to the Project Record.
Function & Installation Check
Doors, drawers, hinges and installed hardware are checked for smooth operation, alignment and correct fitting. Cabinet fronts, benchtops, joints, sealing and other applicable visible installation details are also reviewed as part of the final inspection.
Final Clean & Site Condition
Installation dust, marks and applicable adhesive or sealant residue are removed, cabinet areas are checked for cleanliness, and the work area is left in an appropriate completed condition for Handover.
Handover, My Progress & Project Records
During delivery, selected inspection, review and follow-up status can be shown in My Progress. At Handover, applicable final inspection, Handover, warranty and care records are released into myARK Documents and remain connected to the Project Record.
Aftercare & Support
After Handover, the same Project Record continues to connect applicable warranty, care and future support information. Warranty coverage remains governed by the applicable Contract and Warranty Documents.

ARK Site Discipline applies throughout active kitchen installation and renovation work inside the client’s home. Where a site condition, access issue, incident or unexpected change affects the work, it is recorded and managed through the appropriate project process rather than left as an informal site arrangement.
