Not every kitchen renovation needs a new layout. In this Takapuna project, the existing footprint and service positions were retained while the original cabinetry was removed and replaced. That allowed the kitchen to be renewed without turning the project into a larger reconfiguration of the surrounding room. New cabinetry, hardware, benchtop, sink and tapware brought the working surfaces and storage up to date while keeping the basic arrangement familiar.
